Is it legal to use auto-trading software like UpScalp?

Yes — when used properly. Since UpScalp is self-hosted and does not execute trades from our servers or control your account, it complies with SEBI’s requirement that the user remains in control of their trading activity.

Can UpScalp access my money or shares?

No. UpScalp has no access to your funds, shares, or demat account. You retain full ownership and control through your broker.

Can I customize the strategies?

Yes. UpScalp allows you to choose from multiple built-in strategies and configure parameters like risk levels, capital allocation, filters, and trade timing based on your preferences.

What kind of trades does UpScalp support?

Currently, UpScalp supports swing trading in the Indian equity (cash) segment. We do not support intraday, margin-based, or derivatives trading at this time.

What is required to use UpScalp?

You need a supported brokerage account with API access (e.g., Fyers, Zerodha), a VPS or PC to run the software, and basic setup knowledge (we provide step-by-step documentation).

Do I need to give UpScalp permission for fund withdrawals?

No. UpScalp never accesses your demat or trading account. All funds remain under your control, and the software only runs on your self-hosted environment. We do not have the ability to deposit or withdraw any amount from your account.

Is my data and broker API secure?

Absolutely. Since you host the software yourself, your broker credentials and API keys remain completely private. We never access, collect, or store any of your sensitive data.

Is UpScalp a SEBI-registered advisory or PMS service?

No, and that’s by design. UpScalp is not an investment advisor or portfolio manager. We do not provide stock recommendations or financial advice. We offer automation tools for users to deploy on their own infrastructure and trade independently.
